James Mellaart, the discover of Çatalhöyük, and his wife Arlette during the early days of their marriage. Mellaart dug the site over four seasons during the early 1960s, but then was banned from working at Çatalhöyük forever in the wake of the mysterious scandal known as "The Dorak Affair."
